very busy and exciting day for me.
Signed up for the fit4UU program two or three weeks ago, and was informed that I can join the Soul Choir as well since the I am on the waiting list.
9:00 Massage
10:30 Soul Choir
and yes! research in between.
with incidence in between that the server do not provide me the access to my account to retrieve my work in process...
I gladly went for the 16:00 Zumba which I had once thought about not going since the research was just about to get exciting.
Most of the time, the choir teacher spoke in Dutch,
but with her spirite in showing the song, I guess I didn't miss alot.
She said that in singing, there is three important thing to distinguish:
VOLUME, INTENSITY, (and i forgot the other).
It is important to note that even with small volume,
great intensity in your voice would allow you to emphasis your lyrics.
Three songs we sang, gladly there were all English ones.
interesting thing is that only one of them is provided with notes.
others we follow what she sang to us.
Almost everyone in the group had some experience in the Choir,
surprisingly there is only few sop but many meso.

To me, only the second one is more expressed as a 黑人靈歌
the other two is to express yourself and relax.
An hour an half of practice, we were (more or less) able to sing the three songs together.
It feels great! to once again have the rhythm surrounding me.
I miss that alot!
Back in office, I get my hands dirty with my Latin American data, (will, since two weeks now).
Good news is that I get why the result last weeks was disappointing.
After all the development index I assign them did not distinguish the productivity differences between them.
Yet, as I was just moving on with my new findings to see if its a general finding,
I was kicked out of access to my account.
I phoned the ICT right away, yet on the phone I waited for 10min before a real human talked to me.
Tossing my computer behind, I left the office without hesitation
I had, since I feel like working and getting some results eariler.
Once again I entered the Parnasso. The doorman was not very polite.
We waited as the sterio did not work. The expected 12 in the group turn out to be 5.
This gave us plenty of space to "work out"!
I did not expect anything of the Zumba, simply because I had no idea what it was.
The choice was base on my schudule and geographic distance ;)
I already feel like give up after the third song, (橫膈膜開始痛了)
yet I keep up with the dance till the 12th, the last routine.
I think I didn't do too bad! We were all sweating and happy.
Some of them were like Salsa, some were like Indian dance to me.
But I think it is more likely to be categorized as mix of Latin American dance.
(did not success in getting too far away from my data, i guess...)
Though I believe in many pose I did not make it to the point,
but all the steps, twists and turns just makes me happy.
I am so happy to pick up two thing I love in life today, and
hopefully to get them back into my life again as well. I miss them alot!
Every time I try to get a piece back, I ask myself
why I had left it behing for such a long time
since they obviously gave me so much joy and laughter.
Back to office, waiting for my Dutch course.
Met Mark, who is almost leaving.
There was this conversation eariler:
"How oftern do you meet Wolter?"
"whe~ WAY TOO OFTEN"
HAHA.
Our supervisor is very different.
Wolter is more interested in empirical data
while Charles wants facts from it and like to work with modeling more.
Is going to meet with him this Friday, and should really get some intersting thing to feed him.
Most of the time, I still don't feel like this is my research and rely on him too much.
I think I need to work on that!
